Driver / installer (ad-hoc)

Twilight Trees Ltd is an exciting, dynamic and fast-growing company based just outside of Winchester. A family-run business with a fun, creative and hard-working team, we are looking for a like-minded individual to help in deliver and install our exceptional trees to our clients.

We have served the events industry for over 10 years, supplying artificial trees for weddings, parties and corporate events throughout the UK. We regularly work in some of the most sought after venues in the UK including, The National Gallery, The Shard, The Natural History Museum & Kew Gardens and have a reputation for excellent customer service.

What we can offer

• £15 per hour base pay (including driving time & paid breaks)
• £18 per hour on weekends (00:00 am – 06:00 am)
• £60 minimum day rate – equivalent to 4 hours work

Job responsibilities:

• Driving vans up to 3.5 tons (often in central London)
• Delivering & installing trees as required by client
• Giving practical guidance to client where necessary
• Following health and safety guidelines
• Working in grade 1 & 2 listed buildings – great care is required!

Vans are provided with fuel cards and are loaded/unloaded by the warehouse team, however there may be occasions where you will be asked to assist with this task. This will be an exception and not the norm. Applicants must provide their own safety footwear and appropriate trousers/shorts. Tools are provided.

Successful applicants must:

• Be over 25 years or older (for vehicle insurance purposes)
• Hold a full UK Category B driving license (no points preferred)
• Have adequate physical fitness & strength
• Have good verbal communication skills
• Have excellent time management
• Maintain a positive and “can do” attitude

It would be advantageous for applicants to:

• Have experience driving large vans (up to 3.5 tons)
• Be flexible in their availability to work
• Have an eye for detail
• Live within 30 minutes drive of Winchester

Due to the nature of the events industry this work is offered on a ad hoc, flexible basis. Work can fall at any time, on any day of the week, and schedules will be managed to ensure adequate rest is given and individual circumstances are considered. Applicants wishing to work exclusively on weekends, evenings or nights are welcome.

Our busy periods are summer (May – July) and the run up to Christmas (Late September – Mid December)

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
