Luxury Rooftop Garden Design with Artificial Planting, Hyde Park Gate
From concept to creation
Twilight Trees were approached by London interior design studio Rive Gauche to reimagine a penthouse rooftop garden at Hyde Park Gate, with views sweeping across to the Royal Albert Hall. The brief was clear: create a luxury rooftop garden design in London using artificial planting – a green escape that looked alive but required minimal maintenance.

The approach
A site visit sparked the design team’s imagination, and we started mapping the space and considering how planting could elevate the architecture while concealing particular sections of the rooftop that the client didn’t want to be so visible.
From there, the team developed tailored proposals complete with mock-ups and planting options, balancing privacy with aesthetic impact. Collaboration with Rive Gauche ensured every detail aligned with the client’s vision.
Installation day saw the rooftop evolve into a peaceful haven. Sleek cypress trees, matte planters and layered greenery softened the urban edges, lending the garden both structure and atmosphere.
The result is a luxury rooftop garden installation that is both low-maintenance and timeless. This project demonstrates how bespoke artificial planting solutions can bring the serenity of nature into urban spaces, transforming rooftops into design-led sanctuaries.
